This single vineyard Cabernet Franc was made from grapes grown on Mills Reef's Mere Road Vineyard, located in the celebrated stony Gimblett Gravels district of Hawke’s Bay.
The fruit was destemmed, retaining whole berries which were cold-soaked for three days then inoculated with selected yeast. The cap was plunged twice daily throughout ferment, until dry.
The wine was macerated on its skins for a further 18 days, then pressed to barrel and aged for 17 months in quality 100% French oak (of which 24% was new wood) with one gentle aerated racking. The wine was egg white fined, followed by a pad filtration prior to bottling under screwcap.
This intensely perfumed Gimblett Gravels wine shows great complexity of character with concentrated bright berry fruit and spice flavours, ripe supple tannins and finely integrated French oak seasoning.
The finish is deliciously long and persistent. Harmonious and drinking superbly now, it will acquire even greater depth with judicious cellaring.

Courier Company
We use Post Haste and PBT to ship your order. Their lead time to delivery the parcel is 1 to 3 working days and further 2 days for rural address. In some instances it can take longer for the delivery to take place.
RETURNS POLICY
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a complete refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. • Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.
