Esk Valley 'Artisinal Series' Albarino 2022
The Artisanal Collection is a new range of fine wines with winemaker Gordon Russell?s artistry and vision on full display, yielding soulful wines that express Esk Valley?s character and Hawkes Bay home.
In the Collection, classic Hawkes Bay wine styles are given the Esk Valley and Gordon Russell treatment. A barrel-fermented Chardonnay, unique Malbec dominant blended red wine and a cluster fermented Syrah form the backbone of the collection.
This wine reveals classic Albarino notes of lime, peach and an assortment of tropical fruits. It is full and rich with mouthwatering acidity providing length and deliciousness with the palate weight enhanced by ageing on yeast lees. It is delicious as a young wine but will gain some complexity with time in the bottle.
This is a single vineyard wine from the Two Terraces Vineyard situated inland at Mangatahi. The Albarino plantings are located on the upper of the two gravel river terraces formed by the Ngaruroro River. Two clones of Albarino from both Spain and Portugal are planted, with each providing its own distinctive characteristics. Planted in 2018, these vines are intensively managed and yields kept low in the pursuit of quality wine.

We use Post Haste and PBT to ship your order. Their lead time to delivery the parcel is 1 to 3 working days and further 2 days for rural address. In some instances it can take longer for the delivery to take place.
RETURNS POLICY
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a complete refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. • Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.
