Quartz Reef Blanc de Blanc Vintage 2017
The Quartz Reef Blanc de Blancs Methode Traditionnelle is an exceptional release, it marks itself as possibly New Zealand's greatest Methode Traditionnelle to date and is the 'crown jewel' in their sparkling collection.
Winemaker Rudi Bauer was one of the first proponents of biodynamic practices and continues to be a leader in the field, his wines are as hands-off (wild fermentation, minimal intervention etc) as the they are hands-on (handpicked, hand riddled and disgorged).
This very special vintage 2017 Methode Traditionnelle spent an incredible 60 months on lees (many big-brand Champagnes are only aged for 18 months) before being disgorged by hand in Spring 2020 - with only 4000 bottles produced.
A wine in a perfect drinking window. Satin through silky textures touch the palate first with a mushrooming and gently forceful mousse. Taut and youthful with a crisp acid line carrying a saline note then flavours of lemon and white peach. The autolysis suggest flavours of sour-dough bread and crackers, while a floral mineral layer adds complexity and depth. A delicious and complete wine ready to drink from today and through 2027.

We use Post Haste and PBT to ship your order. Their lead time to delivery the parcel is 1 to 3 working days and further 2 days for rural address. In some instances it can take longer for the delivery to take place.
RETURNS POLICY
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a complete refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. • Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.
