The Hawke’s Bay is famous for full flavoured Merlot. An exceptionally dry Spring resulted in small balanced canopies and early development stages. A very warm Summer with timely rainfall around veraison was followed with rapid ripening to an early vintage. These Merlot grapes were picked full of flavour and excellent quality.
THE WINERY
- With a deep ruby colour and aromatic nose of plums, boysenberries, blackberries with some spicy oak notes.
- The palate is smooth and stylish with flavours of ripe fruit, soft tannins, oak and a long finish.
