The fruit for this wine was sourced from several sites within Hawkes Bay.
A large contribution come from the Joseph Soler Vineyard, which is planted on the boundary of the Gimblett Gravels wine growing region and comprises of free draining soils ideal for the production of premium red wines.
Another portion comes from within the renowned Gimblett Gravels. Here, low yields and naturally devigourated vines are encouraged, with the resulting fruit characterised by deep colours and intense flavours.
The nose of this wine displays good depth and complexity with bright berry fruit, violet and savoury pepper aromas.
The palate features plum fruit, spice and wild herb notes, complemented by silky smooth tannins.
This is a supple wine which displays sheer drinkability.
