Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, lighter on rim. This has a solid and well-packed bouquet of ripe yellow stonefruits harmoniously intermixed with lifted florals and honey, developing some savoury secondary detail. Dry to taste and medium bodied, this is gently full with good presence on the palate. The flavours of stonefruits and lifted florals and honeysuckle are somewhat delicate in expression, but follow a good core and line. The mouthfeel is soft from modest acidity, and openly expressed, with subtle yellow stonefruit notes that flow to a light finish. Harmoniously aromatic, this is a weighty dry Pinot Gris with delicate flavours beginning to show some secondary development. Waipara fruit fermented to 13.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS, he wine aged on lees for 6 months.
