Stables Reserve is a fruit driven varietal range produced from small parcels of premium grapes from parcels of premium grapes from selected vineyards. These food-friendly wines have good palate weight and are styled to bring out the true varietal character of the region. The 2013 vintage started with a cool, frosty spring but quickly progressed into a classic Hawke’s Bay summer. Hot and dry conditions from December through to end of harvest in April ensured ripe, flavour some fruit in excellent condition.
Colour: Vibrant dark red with purple hues.
Bouquet: Ripe raspberries and damson plums with white pepper, spice and dried thyme aromas.
Palate: Damson plum with raspberry and blackberry. Medium-bodied. Round and supple through the palate. Long fruit and spice driven finish with fine tannins.
Cellaring: Can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 5 years from vintage date.
