This fine wine is a stunning blend of the classic Bordeaux varieties, Merlot (69%), Malbec (27%) with a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes were grown in the highly acclaimed Gimblett Gravels region, and were harvested in excellent condition.
The grapes were gently crushed, cold soaked for four to six days and fermented in closed and open top stainless steel tanks, with twice-daily pump overs / plunging to extract colour, flavour and fine tannin structure.
This elegant, full-bodied red exudes delicious boysenberry and blackberry fruits, lightly dusted with cinnamon, appetising dark chocolate and savoury olive notes. Judicious aging in fine oak barrels contributes succulent ripe tannins and a velvety smooth texture. Delicious now, it will also greatly reward cellaring.
