Judge Rock Central Otago Pinot Noir 13.5%, 750ml
Bunches were 100% de-stemmed with six days cold soak, fermented for 12 days reaching maximum temperature of 32C and left on skins post ferment for 4 days until the tannin balance sought was achieved. The wine was then lightly settled prior to maturation in traditional French oak barrels with 33% new oak.
- Purple, with purple hues.
- Aromas of lifted red fruits with spice and dried herbs, together with savoury mushroom characters.
- On the palate, rich sweet red and black cherry with spicy oak, dried herbs and hints of leather.
- A medium bodied, well structured wine with fine silky tannins and a long finish.
