Jane Hunter is known as the First Lady of NZ wine but these days Gary Duke is in charge of the winemaking, along with the next generation of Hunter’s wines, James Macdonald, son of GM Peter.
Smells:
- An attractive hint of distant chimney smoke mingles with autumn leaves, capsicum and freshly cut grass.
Tastes:
- Tropical fruit and passionfruit pulp show through in the mouth, with hints of guava, lime, calamansi and kiwifruit.
- Crisp, dry and refreshing, this would be a slice of heaven with oysters natural.
