The wine (100% Chardonnay) is fermented and aged in oak barrels for 12 months, in the Domaine's ancient cellars and then bottled after only a light filtration. In 2012 there is ample flesh and yet it's a racy, tangy wine overall with hints of florals, pear and citrus fruit along with a kiss of spicy oak. The balance is lovely, as ever at this Domaine, with a textured, poised mouth fee, vibrant acidity which brings freshness and length.
