After Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2014 which scored 100/100 now it is time for Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2015. A classy new release from Neudorf, a five star chardonnay that scored 98/100 awarded points.
Bob Campbell's words for the 2014 vintage of this wine-
It's a bold statement to say Neudorf makes New Zealand's best Chardonnays but I've seen them perform with distinction in blind tastings against good vintages of Bâtard- Montrachet from top producers.” Bob Campbell MW
A paradox- voluminous yet graceful. Intense notes of citrus blossom and sweet spice unfurl with power and finesse. Minerals tension on the palate tracks to an exciting, salivatory finish. Hand-harvested from older, low cropping hill vines, wild yeast fermented and matured 12 months in french oak. No fining, minimal filtration. 600 cases.
